​Welcome to Purna Yoga East

We are offering in person, studio classes at Purna Yoga East in downtown Clayton. Masks are optional for attendance at the studio. See our updated schedule below.

Every Wednesday at 10 am, Catharine leads an online, all-levels Zoom class. The Zoom yoga class can be enjoyed synchronous, taking the class while she is teaching, or taken asynchronously at your leisure. Simply register for the class to receive a link. Wednesday afternoon you will receive an email containing the class recording that is available for your personal use for seven days.  Included with that email is an additional recording of a previously lead Purna Yoga class. You'll have two classes to maintain and grow with your yoga practice.

Color Week:
During the week of March 20th we will celebrate the arrival of spring. Each day we will work through the colors of the rainbow and chakra system of the body.  We'll begin with the color red working our way to violet.  On each day wear cloths of that color, notice it in your surroundings, how you respond to that color and choose foods of that color to eat.  

Monday, March 20th is RED
Tuesday, March 21st YELLOW
Wednesday, March 22nd ORANGE
Thursday, March 23rd GREEN
Friday, March 24th BLUE
Saturday, March 25th INDIGO
Sunday, March 26th VIOLET.

Just for Beginners Yoga 5-week courses (join any time) Start in our Beginner Basics classes

Have you ever wanted to try yoga but didn’t know where to start or felt uncomfortable joining a group who had been practicing together for a while? Then start fresh with us in this 5 weeks of yoga Just for Beginners. We will go over the ins and outs of starting a safe, fun and enjoyable yoga practice in a small class setting. Learn simple yet effective yoga routines to stretch your body, strengthen your muscles and help calm your nerves. Let our professional yoga instructors offer modifications, just for you, to enhance your practice. Learning modifications will let you practice safely and effectively in your physical form whether you're feeling extra stiff, old, overweight, have had surgeries, joint replacements or are with any other health considerations.   
You will immediately notice that you feel taller, sleep more peacefully and move better throughout your day! During the five weeks of  the yoga course you are invited to attend any ongoing studio level 1, level 1-2 and the all-level classes where you will meet the other instructors and students of Purna Yoga East. This is the perfect opportunity for you to experience all that Purna Yoga has to offer so enroll now as the class size is limited.

Massage for the hands and feet

Learn simple ways to work on friends and family members to ease stress and tension. Catharine and Emily are licensed massage therapists that will guide you through simple set-ups and techniques that you can deliver and receive comfortably in your own home. Bring a family member of friend, and spend some time developing confidence in your ability to provide care and comfort to your loved ones.

You will learn
  • Basic home set-ups for massage
  • Simple massage techniques for the hands and feet
  • How to communicate during a massage
  • Greater sensitivity in your touch
  • How to preserve your hands while giving massage
  • What feels good and what doesn't for your partner

​This is for pairs, so find a partner to join you!
Wear comfortable clothes to move around easily.
Pairs will only work on each other.

We will offer the popular Neck and Shoulders massage techniques again later in the year- dates TBA
